Suits. Самая компактная из распространённых, минимум ухода, подходит квартире.
Be aware. Очень хрупкие кости: падение с рук — перелом. Мёрзнет, нужна одежда.
Temperament
Живой, привязчивый и очень звонкий маленький пёс. Русский той предан одному человеку, к чужим настороженно, лает охотно. Обучается неплохо, но требует последовательности. Плохо переносит одиночество.
Care
Уход зависит от разновидности: гладкошёрстной почти не нужен, длинношёрстную вычёсывать дважды в неделю. Кости очень тонкие — падение с рук или дивана заканчивается переломом, и это главная опасность для породы. Мёрзнет, зимой одежда. Зубы требуют внимания с молодости: камень и ранняя потеря зубов у мелких пород правило.
Origin
Российская порода, выведена из английского той-терьера в середине XX века. Длинношёрстная разновидность появилась в 1950-е от одного щенка.

- Mid-run the dog suddenly holds up a hind leg for a couple of strides, then carries on as if nothing happened. It looks harmless but wears the joint down over time. Excess weight doubles the pace of it.
- Keep in mindTeeth
- In small breeds the teeth are crowded, tartar builds early, and teeth are lost by five years old. Look at the gums: redness at the tooth line and bad breath already call for a scale. Brush at home; dry food does not clean teeth, contrary to popular belief.
