Suits. Вынослив, любит долгий бег, короткая шерсть.
Be aware. Нужны серьёзные нагрузки — без них разрушителен. Часть собак рождается глухими: проверяйте помёт.
Temperament
Энергичная, выносливая и очень контактная собака. Далматин требует много движения и плохо переносит одиночество. К семье привязан, к чужим сдержан. Упрям, обучается неохотно, но способен. Долго остаётся щенком по поведению.
Care
Короткая шерсть линяет круглый год и жёсткими волосками впивается в ткань — вычёсывать дважды в неделю. Две особенности породы важнее ухода за шерстью. Первая: до трети далматинов рождаются глухими на одно или оба уха, у щенка должен быть тест BAER. Вторая: нарушение обмена мочевой кислоты, из-за которого порода склонна к уратным камням — нужен постоянный доступ к воде и корм с пониженным содержанием пуринов.
Origin
Порода известна с XVIII века, работала при экипажах: бежала рядом с лошадьми, охраняя выезд. Отсюда выносливость и любовь к лошадям.

- The puppy does not react to a voice out of its line of sight, sleeps deeply and does not wake at noise. Checked with a BAER test at the breeder. A deaf dog lives normally, but commands are taught by hand signals and it is never let off the lead.

- Frequent attempts to pass small amounts of urine, blood in the urine, restlessness. In males a blockage is an emergency. The main prevention is dull and effective: water always available, and plenty of it drunk.
