Temperament
Очень контактная и требовательная к вниманию кошка. Плохо переносит одиночество, ходит за человеком, спит под одеялом. Активна и любопытна, легко знакомится с гостями.
Care
Отсутствие шерсти не означает отсутствия ухода — наоборот. Кожа выделяет секрет, который нужно смывать: протирание влажной салфеткой через день, купание раз в одну-две недели. Уши чистить регулярно, там скапливается много выделений. Мёрзнет: в квартире нужны тёплые лежанки и одежда для холодного времени. Обмен веществ быстрый, ест больше обычной кошки. На солнце обгорает.
Origin
Современная порода, выведена в Канаде с 1966 года от бесшёрстного котёнка Прун. Российские донской и петербургский сфинксы — отдельные породы с другой мутацией.

- The commonest heart disease in cats and the main cause of sudden death. It gives no signs for a long time; the first may be fast breathing at rest or the hind legs suddenly giving out. In this breed heart scans are done on schedule — ask your vet from what age.

- With no coat, the skin produces oil with nothing to absorb it: it collects in the folds and between the toes. Wipe every few days, bathe as needed. And remember such a cat gets cold easily and burns in the sun by a window.
- OccursPoor heat tolerance
- In a Kazakh summer this is the breed’s main risk. Walk early morning and late evening, always carry water, never leave the animal in a car. Signs of overheating: rapid panting with the tongue out, drooling, an unsteady gait. Heatstroke kills in minutes, not hours.
