Be aware. Совершенно не приспособлена к улице. Кардиомиопатия, склонность к полноте.
Temperament
Очень спокойная и доверчивая кошка. Название переводится как «тряпичная кукла» — рэгдолл расслабляется на руках почти полностью. Привязана к людям, ходит следом, не любит одиночества. Малоактивна, конфликтов избегает. Именно из-за доверчивости порода не годится для свободного выгула.
Care
Полудлинная шерсть без плотного подшёрстка сваливается меньше, но вычёсывать нужно два-три раза в неделю. Следить за весом: кошка малоподвижна и крупна. Наследственно значима гипертрофическая кардиомиопатия, тест для племенных обязателен.
Origin
Порода выведена в Калифорнии в 1960-е годы. Название дано за характерную расслабленность на руках.

- The commonest heart disease in cats and the main cause of sudden death. It gives no signs for a long time; the first may be fast breathing at rest or the hind legs suddenly giving out. In this breed heart scans are done on schedule — ask your vet from what age.
