Temperament
Спокойная, привязчивая и на удивление собачья по повадкам кошка: мэнкс ходит следом, приносит брошенное, охраняет дом голосом. С детьми терпелива, с собаками уживается.
Care
Шерсть короткая или полудлинная, вычёсывать раз-два в неделю. Главное, что нужно знать до покупки: бесхвостость — следствие мутации позвоночника, и у части кошек она приводит к синдрому мэнкса — нарушениям работы задних конечностей, мочевого пузыря и кишечника. Вязка двух полностью бесхвостых животных недопустима. У котёнка стоит убедиться, что он нормально ходит и контролирует выделение.
Origin
Аборигенная порода острова Мэн, известна столетиями. Мутация закрепилась из-за изолированности островной популяции.

- The cat visits the tray often and passes little, cries in the tray, starts urinating outside it. In males a blocked urethra means a few hours before the kidneys fail. Prevention: water, wet food and a clean tray.
